We are situated on the Esplanade, Ventnor, just across the road from the beach and within ten minutes easy walk from the town centre. Nearby are some spectacular cliff top walks leading to the Botanical Gardens and the picturesque Steep Hill Cove.

As we live on the premises we are able to offer a personal service so that you can relax in an informal, peaceful and homely atmosphere. We believe that good food is important and our home cooked food reflects this. Our varied breakfast menu will start you off for the day, and our evening meal will complete your day's enjoyment, alternatively there are good eating houses within walking distance.

Each of our ten guest bedrooms are with bathroom, attractively decorated and comfortably furnished with tea/coffee making facilities, colour TV and heating. We have one family room that can accommodate two children and a cot can be provided for very young guests.

We have two lounges, the main lounge where you can relax and watch television or the sun lounge, which provides views of the beach and English Channel. Alternatively, in the evening, enjoy a drink in our bar which also overlooks the seafront.

The hotel, like most of Ventnor, was built before the day of the motor car and thus we have no private car park, however, there is a large car park just 2-3 mins walk away.

Service Charge: 10% on all food and beverages except inclusive breakfasts, on which gratuities are at guests' discretion.

All accommodation is offered subject to availability, deposit with booking of half the full cost, balance payable one month before uptake of accomodation. Bookings will only be guaranteed when the deposit is paid. Holiday insurance is advised to be taken out by those with a guaranteed booking because the deposit will not be refunded with cancellation except in exceptional circumstances. Forms are available from the hotel.

The Picardie is happy to arrange guests' ferry tickets on Wightlink Ferries from Portsmouth and Lymington.
Check-out by 10.30 am       Rooms are available 12:00 noon to 14:00, then 18:30 to 22:00.
The Office is open 10:30 to 16:00, then 18.30 to 22.00

Inclusive Picardie breakfast: fruit juice, a wide selection of cereals, poached fruit and fresh fruit, yoghurt, a choice of hot rolls, croissants or toast, tea or coffee, or our very popular cooked English breakfast.
Vegetarian option available.
Room service is available at no extra charge.

Dinner - By arrangement
with room on half board tariff: Two courses plus tea or coffee, when pre-booked £12.50 per person. A choice of at least two items. Guests with particular dietary requirements needing special meals can be catered for by arrangement. Child portions as agreed. More elaborate dishes e.g. sea bass or grilled lobster, at a supplement to tariff fare by arrangement with the chef.
The GALLEY bar is open when required for a wide range of drinks & some snacks. There are board games, cards, books and local guides for guest's enjoyment are available.
